Model test site of the flood prevention project RHESI visited

The CHR members visited the model test site in Dornbirn. The model in the 5000 square metres hall will be rebuilt by the civil engineers to study the consequences of the  planned changes in the river bed 'Alpenrhein'. The input of the model (scale 1:50) runs will be put into a computer model and this will be used to calculate the emphasised change to be made in the river bed. The changes include river widening and more recreation possibilities and will put the flood protection standard on an even higher level.
